Voidrunner's Codex Sci-Fi Box Set For D&D 5E & Level Up: A5E

A quick update on the Voidrunner's Codex to keep you all in the loop. Although it's not a very exciting one.

We are currently in the manufacturing stage, and plan to ship to the warehouses and have the box sets leave Shanghai well before the Spring Festival at the end of January.

Next month, in December, we should have a copy of the final version of the box set to share with you. So hopefully a more exciting update then!

I’ll keep you updated every step of the way with manufacturing, and shipping etc. We will keep you updated here on the Kickstarter page with updates and in the comments.

A quick update on the Voidrunner's Codex!

The backerkit has closed, PDF files been distributed, and we are in the manufacturing stage.

Pre-production stage

We are currently finalising the print files ready to send to the manufacturer.

We've already approved the design and have all the templates from the manufacturer. Here's a video of the white sample.

The white sample is just the components with no artwork. So we can check the dimensions and how it all fits together before finalising the artwork for print.

Shipping & Fulfilment

Depending on manufacturing timelines, shipping from the warehouse will be anytime from November to January. The goal is to ensure we have the box sets leave Shanghai well before the Spring Festival at the end of January.

On this schedule box sets should arrive at warehouses in February 2025 at the latest, ready to send out to backers.

Backerkit closing & Drive Thru RPG files being sent

Backerkit Closing Friday

90% of you have completed your surveys on backerkit. Thank you!

Surveys will close August 30th and this will be the date cards are charged for any add-ons you choose.

Accessing Your Backerkit Account

Backerkit has sent you an email for you to check and make any changes before this Friday August 30th. 

Be sure to check your spam folder - and that it is the same email address you use for your Kickstarter account.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account.

Updated PDFs via DTRPG

I will message each of you directly on Kickstarter with new links via Drive Thru RPG this week. You can download the updated files, and have them stored in your Drive Thru RPG library. If you would prefer not to use Drive Thru RPG, please reply these messages requesting an alternative link.

We will also send Drive Thru RPG links via backerkit on 30th August for any late pledges or extra add-ons you may choose via the pledge manager.

The Starship Builder Is Live!

Hello folks! As you may remember, our £100K stretch goal was for an online starship builder.

We came close in the Kickstarter, ending at just over £97K. However, we did say that if we made it to £100K including late Backerkit pledges and upgrades, we'd honour that stretch goal still.

Well, we have great news! We quickly hit the goal when the pledge manager opened, and so we can officially launch the starship builder! You'll find it over on A5E.tools, under the Tools menu (along with a bonus FTL speed calculator!)

The starship builder is completely free to use--so have at it, and enjoy!

Backerkit Surveys Going Live!

Soon you’ll receive an email from us with a unique link to your BackerKit survey for the Voidrunners Codex!

We have sent surveys to just 5% of backer so far to test everything is working as it should. You can expect your email by this Friday 2nd August.

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts. Surveys will close August 30th and this will be the date cards are charged for any add-ons you choose.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond.

Stretch Goal on Backerkit

We have a £100,000 stretch goal for a starship building web app for the Voidrunners Codex.

The starship builder will be freely available for anybody to use, and will use the rules found in the Star Captain's Manual (specifically, Appendix 1: Starship Construction Manual).

We’re just shy of this goal on Kickstarter, ending at £97,778 . We are confident we will meet this goal with late pledges and upgrades on backerkit - so watch this space!
